The Hotel Monopol is centrally located with partial views of the lake. Located next to the railway station, business and shopping areas and built in 1898 in new baroque style, the 73 renovated rooms provide comfortable accommodation.
The hotel also has rooms for seminars, conferences and banquets for up to 90 people, as well as technical equipment. Parking facilities are located nearby in the public railway station car park, which can be accessed directly from the hotel via the station underpass.
As the hotel is situated right in the heart of Lucerne, next to the train station, there are numerous varieties for having drink, lunch, coffe or dinner.
All rooms are equipped with bath / shower, WC, hairdryer, safe, telephone, minibar, wireless-lan and TV.
The hotel is located just a few steps away from the harbour, the famous Chapel-bridge and the old town of Lucerne. Also within walking distance is the lion monument, the traffic museum and several shopping possibilities.
The important airports are located 60 kilometers (Zürich) or 110 kilometers (Basel) from the hotel. Both can be reached by train in a 1 to 2 hours ride. Car drivers simply take exit “Lucerne Center” and follow the signs to the train station. The hotel is situated on the right side before the train station. Car
parking is not provided by the hotel, the public parking in the train station or parking lots at the streets must be used.
